Food for Friends Red Deer

Freezer meal workshops are a great way to budget your groceries better, enjoy good company and prepare healthy meals for your family.

Freezer Meal Workshops:

Freezer meal workshops are convenient as all the food needed for each participant is purchased ahead of time and brought to a commercial kitchen to be cooked in a group setting. Join this fun social event that allows you to learn and prepare healthy meals for your family. At the workshop you will prepare a variety of healthy meals to bring home and freeze, and cook and serve at your convenience.

Private Workshops:

Get your own group of gals (or guys) together and spend a warm afternoon or evening together cooking. Call in your mom, sisters, grandmas, aunts and besties to get you all ahead of the supper curve or one person super set up.

Food for Friends Freezer Meal workshops are good for:

  • Anyone to busy to cook or wanting to plan ahead
  • New moms
  • New brides
  • Sick or hurt friends
  • New neighbours
  • Bachelorette parties
  • Unique meal requests and strict diets

Freezer meal workshops are designed to make a small profit that will be redirected back into sustaining our food card program. Workshops are open to everyone.
*All meals contain meat.
*If you are a currently receiving a Food Card you can attend a freezer meal workshop for only the price of food. Please call to register.

Each meal is prepared as the main dish to serve a family of four. Sometimes extra fixin's will be required at dinner time. You may need to boil some rice or add a salad for a complete meal. But the shopping, planning and hard work is done in advanced.
