Entrepreneur, Educator, Community Investor
Kim's mission: Work to ensure everyone in our community enjoys access to all the best our society has to offer.

Bernie Rabski is a landscape professional trained at Olds College . He earned a red seal on his journeyman landscape gardener ticket in 2008, and heads 3 teams of landscapers at Alternative Landscape Solutions Inc. He moved to Red Deer in 2004 from Edmonton, and went to school in Olds. When Bernie isn’t puttering in the garden, he is a devoted husband, and father to a son and daughter. He enjoys hiking, volunteering and travelling. Bernie is currently an active member of the Red Deer Elks lodge. He is passionate about making music, both at church and jamming with friends or strangers.

Bernie is eager to help end food inequality. He brings 8 years of managerial accounting to his position as treasurer for the Food For friends group, and is volunteering on FFF’s board to raise awareness about the crisis facing many families… to pay the power bill or to buy food for kids’ lunches. If Bernie was elected prime minister, he would bring back urban farming and promote the local food movement. He is inspired by Mother Teresa who said: “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” Together, we can make a difference!

Rev. Jeff Rock is in Ministry with the people of Gaetz Memorial United Church. He is passionate about social justice and radical inclusivity. Jeff hopes that Food for Friends can be part of ensuring every single person in our community has the dignity and equity of food security. When not working and volunteering he can be found enjoying the Red Deer River with his dog Chaz.
